Angling Lake and Golf Course
Leaving the Abbey grounds at the north east corner there is a choice of routes.
- The path angling to the northeast leads past the end of Ransome Road and on to the University of Northampton Riverside Campus and the River Nene running through Becket’s Park.
- Heading west will take you to the Abbey car park.
- Heading east brings you to Delapré Angling Lake which is occasionally used by water skiers.
- The final option being a footpath heading south past the Abbey grounds and golf course on to Hardingstone woods where turning right and heading west leads to the south end of the spinney at Queen Eleanor Cross.

Here are some pictures of the golf course while wandering around it was possible thanks to the lockdown.

South end of the course looking north. Bit busy this day - as you can see we were not entirely alone on our wanders.

Another view over the course towards town. I didn't spot the raptor at the time and certainly can't identify it from this picture.
